Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Celebrating NSW Aboriginal Languages Week
This week, our students have been actively participating in activities to increase their familiarity with the local Dharug language as part of NSW Aboriginal Languages Week. One of the highlights has been a fun and engaging Scavenger Hunt that helped students explore and learn new Dharug words in a hands-on way.
We encourage families to ask their children if they have learnt any new Dharug words this week and to continue the conversation at home.
Tablet Robotics
Our Stage 3 STEM Experts have had the Tablet Robotics kit and the Inventor kit (Lego) this semester to explore coding, Lego and robotics. One of the STEM advisors also visited twice to teach the students how to use robotics to support mathematics learning and to teach them design and 3D printing.
K–2 students had a wonderful time participating in their Athletics Carnival. The day was filled with energy, excitement and lots of cheering as students enjoyed a variety of fun events, including running races and novelty games. It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces as children gave their best effort and supported one another throughout the day. Thank you to our staff for making the carnival a success and all families for coming along to cheer on the students.
